Learning to be canine friends can be challenging sometimes. This Dog Socialization Class will be led by expert dog behaviorist Beverley Mercier Ward to help owners get to know & enjoy their dogs instead of being frustrated. The socialization class will focus on building dog relationships and understanding the behaviors so both humans and canines can thrive. You'll learn to read dog body language and be given tips and protocols to steer owners through bad or unwanted behaviors. This class will help build the dog owners' confidence in being comfortable bringing your furry-faced friend to the dog park.

"We had to leave the dog park 5 minutes after arrival, one of my dogs wouldn't stop humping and the other was growling." We need a socialization class! My dogs need to learn how to play and interact with other dogs with appropriate behaviors. Beverley has 30+ years of training dogs and learning behaviors and has graciously agreed to help our current dog park members' dogs have better behavior by offering this class. We will see you there!
Western Gateway Dog Park is hosting a Food, Treat and Blanket Drive to benefit Sammie's Friends Animal Shelter. August 24th from 4pm-7pm please bring your donation of dry or canned dog or cat food, pet treats, clean, used, blankets/towels, or good condition dog toys. Let's show these resilient animals that they are not forgotten and our community is rooting for them while they wait for their furever family. Donate and join us for a hot dog and let's bring some comfort and fun to shelter pups.
